Thunberg took a the necessary action in August the year 2018. The woman sat quietly in the Swedish Parliament, put up the sign "School Strike For Climate" and also boycotted her school. The aim was making politicians aware of the need to act to combat the global warming. Swedish media captured Thunbergs strike and news about her strike went out. Thousands of students around the globe took part in her #FridaysforFuture-inspired strike. They skipped Friday school to protest climate change. Climate activists from around the world coordinated this Global Strike for Climate. It was a massive success; over 1.6 million participants from over 125 countries participated.
